Harry Humes is a prize-winning poet with 11 poetry books, including the National Poetry Series winner, Butterfly Effect (Milkweed Editions, 1998); his poems have appeared in Poetry, Poetry Northwest, Shenandoah, Gettysburg Review, and Virginia Quarterly Review. He has received grants from the NEA and the Pennsylvania Arts Council. He has taught at Kutztown University and Cedar Crest College. He lives in Pennsylvania.
