Les Figues Press is an independent, nonprofit publisher of poetry, prose, visual art, conceptual writing, and translation. Founded in 2005, Les Figues is located in Los Angeles; its mission is to create aesthetic conversations between readers, writers, and artists. Les Figues Press favors projects which push the boundaries of genre, form, and general acceptability.
Among the books published by Les Figues Press are the TrenchArt series, an annual series of new literature that posits literary works in an inter-textual conversation.
Les Figues is now accepting submissions for the Second Annual Les Figues
NOS (Not Otherwise Specified) Book Contest. All entrants receive a TrenchArt Series title of choice. The deadline is September 15th, 2012. A prize of $1,000 and publication by Les Figues Press will be given for the winning manuscript. Sina Queyras will judge.
